: : My husband was contacted by a Primeamerica rep. Curious about what you think. What's "the word on the street"?

: : Thanks.

: Cindy,
: The word on the street on Primerica depends on whether you talk to a Primerice rep or someone else.

: I was a rep for a while and can tell you that Primerica is a network marketing company disguised as a financial services company. Your husband will "trained" by watching his upline sell insurance and mutual funds to your friends and family all while trying to get all of them to join the business. He will then be told to recruit new people so that he can "train" them and sell insurance and mutual funds to his new recruit's family and friends etc., etc., etc.

: In the financial services world, Primerica is not very respected. Check the discussions on Financialplanning.com for more.

: If the financial services industry is something your husband is truly interested in, have him e mail me at cullen@summitteam.org. And I can show him some other options
