: I have been working "under the table" for someone doing renovations on thier home in California and rescently had an on the job accident (fell off their roof). This individual does not have a workers compensation policy. Is the person who employed me liable for my medical bills or loss of income due to my current inability to work as a result of my injuries? Is there anything I can do? Any advise you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
