Did they find out somehow that you were employing landscape workers? They could cancel you if you do not comply. And if they get hurt, they are considered your employees, with you liable for workers comp, hospital, etc. Even if illegal. Very scary.

You could find another carrier but most home insurance companies will not tolerate landscape workers if they find out.

: My insurance carrier is claiming that I am required to purchase "Worker's compensation residence employees coverage" by California State Law. I do not have ANY such employees nor do I use a landscape maintenance service of any kind. What are my rights on this topic?
