State Farm Shoppers:

Those people have had a bad time with State Farm. OK. Look at them compared to the thousands of claims State Farm pays every day! With more agents around the country than any other insurer offers, 24/7 support through both the phone and Internet, fast response times and their excellent claims service, State Farm rates very highly in the realm of customer service. Usually when a company is exceptionally large, as State Farm is, it also means that they have an exceptionally large target painted on their back, or that they begin to ignore their customers in their desire to reach more for profits. This does not seem to be the case with State Farm.

After having reviewed several insurance companies based on their claims ability, financial strength and their customer service levels, there doesnt seem to be much that holds a candle to State Farm. My rating is a solid A .

: My car was broken into and all of my electronics were stolen which included: 2 tvs, dvd player, subwoofer, and a amplifier which are covered by State Farm. I reported the claim to them because I had exterior and interior damages. When I reported my claim I was told that everything is covered and I will receive a check in the mail, after the claims adjuster inspects the car.

: After the claims adjuster came out and did what he needed to do. I waited a couple of days before I called to check the status of my claim. And at that time I was told that I would only receive a check for the exterior damage. And that State Farm uses a electronic replacement company that will send out replacements for my car. I explained to them that I purchased these items over 4 years ago and I can't find the receipts. They told me that it doesn't matter because they are going to send me what they think I had.

: : I quit State farm. Raising rates in South Dakota for the increased claims in Florida, or Arizona, or where ever. That was the explanation given by the agent I had then. Buy local. There are better insurers with lower rates based in SD. If you want to pay more for less then I guess that's your business. But don't complain about it then.
