Homeland Health Care is not health insurance beware! If like me your unemployed without insurance at the end of COBRA etc. Go with the big names if you can get accepted/afford it or try your State option. Or like me go without in utter fear of being ripped off again! I am without insurance for the first time in twenty years.

Companies like HomeLand HealthCare need to be exposed for their operating practices at the very least. So I guess that's it. The end of what I can do. I have followed up on here to encourage other victims of this company to keep at them for a refund you can get through, I scanned and emailed my cancellation form in. What you won't get back is the money for the processing fee which was extorted under false pretenses in my opinion.

: I too was screwed by Homeland Health. I was told that everything would be covered without "pre-existing conditions". Homeland Health took over $200 from my bank account. When I tried to cancel, the agent said it would be taken care. When I actually insisted on talking to that department.

: They are scammers just trying to steal the first month's fee. I am still trying to get my refund, even though I have not made any claims.

: : An insurance salesmen sold me a plan that covered almost nothing compared to what they promised me. I provided my contact info to an online insurance company. Homeland Health Care took my health information. I wanted a good comprehensive plan that would cover doctors visits, hosptial, etc. They oferred me a plan that covered all major medical expenses. They told me I could cancel this plan anytime, I would have 30 days to review the paperwork and cancel the plan with a full refund of the first premium. I said ok, went through confirmation process (which they recorded). I got the policy in the mail and found that the plan the sold me was unlike what I had ben described. Hand health Care offering "limited benefit" plans that cover very little. When I requested a refund, they said there was a non-refundable $75 fee and that I couldn't get a refund for the first months payment.
