My car was totaled when their insured driver ran a stop sign. I was offered $11,000 which is nowhere near what my car is worth. I hired a lawyer and was told that I needed to find a car like mine in the classified. For a car near me with the same year, make, and miles, the asking price was $31,000.
Mercury Auto started deducting right away from the $31,000 price for various things like pre-existing damage (which there wasn't). The car was new and they did not have a record of any accidents. Mercury Auto Insurance will nickel and dime you.

: I have a 300zx and a moving company damaged the groundafect. My insurance company (mercury) said they would only pay 50% of the repair cost, because "those cars are low to the ground and the damage was probably already there" When I said I have pictures taken just days before, thier answer was are they from under the car? Because the paint was scraped off so some of the groundafect was even if there was no damage. Are they kidding with this?
