It can double your premium. I always wondered why you would get get an insurance poicy if you were planning on canceling anyway.

Nonetheless, most term life plans aer never paid out, they expire for non payment.

conditions that have to be met in order to get all my money back are that you have to keep the policy for a certain # of years, usually 5-10 depending on the insurance carrier.
