: Hi everyone, I'm currently employed as a manager for Cingular former AT&T Wireless. Since the merger, money has not been the absolute greatest. I had recieved a phone call from a young woman who saw my resume on careerbuilder.com. It was for AFLAC and the only assumptions I can conclude are positions for 1. Broker or 2. Independent Sales Agent. My guess is on the agent. So, I did some research, this site was pretty informative and offered me the chance to further question the positives about being an agent. Can someone(s) elaborate and share with me some of their info? I've been doing sales for many years, I'm 24, however I know nothing about insurance or selling it. Is it true they provide you with the right tools and resources to utilize to ensure a richly diverse clientele and all that commission? Are they as worse as the Primerica reps I see soliciting people at a Walgreens? Does AFLAC give their agents the assistance to obtain a license, or someone like me, with a junky car that has to drive in it 24/7, do they offer assistance or a reimbursement? Is it salary and/or commissions only? Benefits decent? Turnover rates and what percentage roughly? Is it possible to take your clients with you when you leave pending or not if they're out of their contracted time frame? Please someone respond back, I have to call this lady back as a courtesy by Monday morning. It's now Fri night. : Thank you all so much and I look forward to hearing your words of wisdom.
