: : Hello all,

: : I'm looking to break into the financial services field and currently have a third interview with the Knights of Columbus Insurance division.

: : Hoping to gain some insight from a current or past K of C insurance agent?

: : Good? Bad?

: :
: : Thank you for any input.

: What I can see from the K of C web site is that they are first of all a captive company which means you can only sell what they have and that means you will be nothing more than a salesman. That in itself is not a bad thing, but having been in a captive company , I can tell you that if you want to be a true resource for your clients, you have to have access to more than one company and be an independent agent.

: Feel free to e mail me and I can send you some info on a program that will allow ou to be independent and to build your own agency.

I would agree with the first reply. It would make sense for you to consider an opportunity where you can be an indepedent agent and offer different products and represent different companies. Where are you located?
