AFLAC underwrites you seperatley so it's doubtlful you would even qualify for any of their plans, much less collect benefits.

No other insurance carrier is going to buy a claim, which is what you are suggesting. DO the math. Even if you have to pay $200 a month in premium, a disability insurance carrier (even short term) could have to pay out $1000 or more per month.

It would take them 5 years (assuming you didn't get your tubes tied and drop the policy) just to break even on paying out for a year's worth of minimal benefits.

A huge almost guaranteed loss. And the fact that it's a pre existing condition?

: I just found out that I was pregnant and I will like to know do AFLAC covered Maternity leave. If so can I still apply for it even though I am already pregnant. I know that a lot of companies wont pay for short term disabilty if you are already pregnant. If AFLAC doesnt cover it can someone give me a couple of names of companies that do have it.
