: THE POSTER ERIC, AKA STEVE, AKA PFS WARS HAS POSTED A MESSAGE BELOW SAYING THAT KEN YOUNG IS NOT THE PERSON YOU SHOULD BE TAKING ADVICE FROM.
: WHAT THE POSTER ERIC, AKA STEVE, AKA PFS WARS NEGLECTED TO MENTION IS THAT HE HAS JUST COME OFF OF A TRIP FROM BEING TOLD BY A PHD UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR THAT HE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO INTERPET A MESSAGE OF ADVICE I ALSO GAVE HIM SO WHEN HE HAD CHALLENGED MY INFORMATION HE WAS INCORRECT TO DO SO.
: Therefor Mr. White, if you want to put yourself to a lot of extra grief and work taking the advice of Steve and/or Eric who is the same person, that is entirely up to you.

: : : Steve's response to you is not totally correct. Most likely he may have misinterpreted you posted message.
: : : First of all, in all instances you can not simply telephone an insurance company and tell them to cancel any life insurance policy without first filling out a cash surrender form and submitting it to the company.
: : : Now the next issue is as follows that Steve also neglected to mention.
: : : Even though you may have paid for your daughter's policy over a number of years, if she is 18-years old or older and the agent did not cancel the ownership endorcement when the policy was written or before your daughter reached age 18, your daughter is now the automatic owner of the policy and you will need her to sign the cash surrender form.
: : : The exception to that rule if the agent did not name you as the owner of the policy when the policy was first written.
: : : Happy to pass on to you some qualifed information to the subject matter of your posting.
: : : I am now retired after spending in excess of thirty years licensed in the insurance industry.
: : : Did Steve happen to mention to you that he only had been licensed in the industry for 8-months total before he started to offer consumers like you advice?
: : : Ken Young

: : Mr. White,
: : Mr. Young , has no credentials, has given you correct information.
: : You were the owner at the time the policy was applied for. You are still the owner.
: : Simply request cash surrender forms from the insurance company. The OWNER is the one that must sign the cash surrender forms, not the insured. Look at the application that is attached to the insurance policy ,and see who signed as the owner.
: : If you have any questions, post to this board. A qualified insurance professional will be happy to answer your questions.
: : Mr. young is not the one you want to take advice from.
Mr. White
Always demand documented credential before taking any advice.
Ken is not qualified to give you any advice as he never took the time and effort to obtain any credential in this businee. He says he has some letters saying he knows what he is doing, but those are not a replacement for credentials.
As Mr. Young if he is a CLU, CFP, or a ChFC.
He holds none of those credentials. Would you go to a surgeon that didn't have any higher education???
There is financial planning message board loaded with professionals with credentials. Ken is just not one of them. Good Luck.
