James:
I know how you feel, having to follow up on bills they ned to pay.
I have often wondered how many people mistakenly pay these bills they send out, saving aetna millions.
I personally don't think it's a mistake we get those kind of bills. I have had to dispute quite a few, after it appears i don't have health insurance at all,
with the carrier sending me a request to pay for every procedure in full.
Part of it i know is that the carriers want to make sure you aren't getting medical care for a pre existing condition, and they have to verify
from your general physican that that was not the case. And in the mean time, could you please pay this $18,000!
The good part of medical bills is that if you pay even $20 per month, they won't sell your account or send you to the collection hounds.
So you can pay near nothing to have these goons kept off of you.
