I was recently in an accident with someone who is covered by USAA policy. I was told that because of the value and condition of my vehicle, that it was considered "total". Being as though the cost of the damage was worth more than the car, they quickly wrote it off as a TOTAL. However my complaint is with USAA Claim Representatives. I was first assigned to a Patrina Stitts ext 34188, and then she turned my case over to Kimberly D. Williams, ext 35124. After being taken through the run-around, I was told that I would be able to recieve a rental car through Enterprise for partial compensation... After all negotianting with both parties I was told and also documented that my policy would be coverd until February 21, 2003. After returning the car, I was told that I had a remaing balance of $484.90. USAA Claim Representatives contacted Enterprise and told them that my policy would be cancelled on February 12, 2003 and quickly told them that they would NOTIFY me promptly.... USAA never notiifed me of any of this... Of course after finding out this unpleasent information I quickly tried to get in contact with both Claim Represenatives, which are now unreachable. I talked to Patrina Stits and she told me that the policy was covered from January 23, 2003 until February 21, 2003. It is still a remaining balance of 484.90. I'm very displeased with USAA customer service, eventhough I am not insured by this company, this occurance makes me realize why they were not my choice... USAA has unprofessional, aloof indivduals that represent them.. It is clearly frustrating for one thing to have your car TOTAl, and another to have unsincere and non-chalant indviduals to handle your claims.. I am very displeased and is ready to take other actions to resolve this issue. Doneshia Peake
