I signed up for AFLAC through my employer back in August/September 2004. The agent they have representing AFLAC came out to review AFLAC with me and get me all set up. He came without paperwork, he then went for his laptop and the cord unit wasn't charged? and his spare was missing so he uses the computer in my office area to print paperwork. Then he has to borrow a legal pad of paper and a pen to take notes and show me beneficial figures. I had to sign one form blank because he needed his laptop to get into a certain program to get accurate dollar figures to take from my paycheck. He faxes me a copy of everything. The next day he calls me said the paperwork was all wrong and faxes new paperwork for me to initial. We never discussed at any point in time if any of my family members had other insurance. It was obvious he can't discuss, prepare or prioritize anything in his AFLAC business. Turns outbecause my children are on a particular type of insurance I can't have the AFLAC for them but I am being charged for it. I found this out during the first week in November when one of my children fell during gym class and injured his knee. I contacted this agent, he said because my son was on this particular insurance I could not get financial reimbursement from AFLAC. We discussed the fairness of the issue since this topic wasn't discussed during sign up time. He said AFLAC would reimburse me or he would personally write the check. Now he won't return my emails or my phone calls and AFLAC is still taking out for TWO PARENT FAMILY instead of individual and spouse. To top that off my employer just called to let me know that they deleted my job position and I need to sign up for unemployment. I obviously can not afford an attorney. WHO CAN SHED SOME LIGHT ON MY SUBJECT????
