Watch your contract when you sigh up with a bargain insurer---I looked at the Geico personal auto policy and they say in their policy they will use aftermarket parts on any vehicle more than 1 year old. I bet Progressive is no different.

Insist on at least "reconditioned" parts, which are made by the original manufacturer and may be reconditioned or from a wrecking yard. The aftermarket stuff doesn't fit much of the time, because those companies use old OEM molds to make the parts.

As far as the matching issue, I have yet to see a company who will pay for matching the other headlight (if there is a difference in age). My car would look pretty different with one new one as well, come to think of it....

: I recently came across an accident in which one of my headlights was damaged. Progressive auto insurance company used a third party headlamp to fix the damage. The other problem was my car was looking odd with one new and one old light.
: Dont they do the head lamp matching like color
: matching.. real useless company. dont ever be a customer to this shit company.
