: I completely agree with you that Primerica will not teach you everything. There is no one place you can do everything for a clients finance. It begins with their discipline and desire. As far as tax information, we need to leave that up to the tax professional. What it sounds like to me is that you are looking at PFS on the side of representative. PFS will work for you or other people when they see it as a business owning opportunity with a way out by duplicating yourself and helping other discover what they are really worth. I am sure you agree with me, no job will ever pay you what you are worth. As being able to do it yourself, You can..But at the end of it all you have a choice to be and agent or an owner. Great talking to you and I wish you well in your new ventures....The most important thing to do is do whats best for the client. If you can sleep at night knowing you did the very best, then at the end it was all worth it..

I'll say it again, At PFS you do not own your business. The company does. Your sales team and clients belong to Primerica and not to you. I can post the contract if you haven't read it.

And yes you can find a full service financial services company. Or at least you should be able to tell your clients when they will need the help of another professional. I was even forbidden to recommend other professionals to my clients by the PFS home office in fear that they would be sued. Tell me who owns your business if you can't even help your clients with referrals.

You say you can't think like an agent, well then who is looking out for your clients if no one is thinking like an agent??? I heard an SVP say that a PFS business was built on emotion. Well I don't know about you but I want my financial services business built on sound financial principles and ethical practices not emotion.

There are other ways to build a financial services business than PFS. And you can do it based on sound principles and keep the well being of your clients at the forefront where it should be. If I want to duplicate myself, I'll do it with people who are well trained in finacial services not any Tom, Dick or Jane I find at a mall. I'll offer competitive choices and truly individualized financial advice that is complete and not designed as a one size fits all program. That is why I sleep well at night.
