: Nope, not on the payroll.
: I don't feel the need to leave a whiner like you my email address, as I don't really want to deal with irrational hatred for a BUSINESS, give me a break.
: Your story doesn't make sense -- USAA cancelled your policies, _then_ raised your rates?
: That's right, USAA is a money grubbing cartel. They're out to take all your money so they can distribute it to the other 4,699,999 members. We're out to get you! USAA is member-owned, if they're making money from you, it's flowing back to the members. Use your brain. Mistakes are certainly possible, but logic dictates that you're assertion that USAA is scheming to take your money is false.
: By the way, I did have an at fault accident and they paid the other party's claim, no questions asked, and my rates didn't go up. I also had a renters insurance claim that was paid in 3 days.
I beg to differ on the "member-owned" statement, at least in the way it is applied. I have not received shareholder voting right since I have been a member which was from the time I was a cadet until now (I am strongly considering going to another company). Since the present management has controlled the company I have seen the company go down. Neither my wife, nor I had ever made a claim until she hit a deer on Interstate 10 in Texas. While the car was repaired the jump in our insurance rates will insure that USAA will not "lose" any money due to the claim. Since I have paid them enough money to purchase three vehicles I feel that raising our rates borders on criminal. While it is "member-owned" it is NOT "member-controlled"!
