It has become impossible for the average person with not so great credit to get car insurance anymore. I am disgusted by the apparent screw-over car insurance companies are doing to people with their credit checks they pull. When did this method start? What does credit have to do with insurance?? How am I supposed to drive a car if I can't get insurance because my credit check did not come back to their standards? Why do these laws get passed and people like us get screwed? There has to be some sort of retribution in all this because as it stands I have no insurance and am driving around illegal. I have no choice. I am 47 years old and have a clean driving record but my credit is lousy and I am being punished for this by the car insurance companies. I do not want generic letters with shallow reasoning from these people I want answers that will get this law changed for the good of all of us who deserve to be treated a lot better then this.
