: : : : My husband was contacted by a Primeamerica rep. Curious about what you think. What's "the word on the street"?

: : : : In the financial services world, Primerica is not very respected. Check the discussions on Financialplanning.com for more.

: : : If the financial services industry is something your husband is truly interested in, have him e mail me at cullen@summitteam.org. And I can show him some other options

: :
: : *****The January 2005 issue of best review has an artilce on Primerica..For the years of growth, it's an eye opener for the people who want to go to the top...If I remember correctly, they said they had something like 11,000 Regional Leaders and I forgot how many RVP's..(Maybe 7,000)

: : If you don't have an issue, check with your local library...Free At last,,Free At Last..Thank God Almighty, I'm Free At Last..My Two Years Has Passed.....

: I never said that Primerica wasn't successful. If you trace its history, you'll see that they have built one of the largest sales forces in the industry. My point is that their system has some serious flaws.

: The products are limited and not competitive in the market.

: Their advice is a one size fits all approach and their Financial Needs Analysis is nothing more than a sles tool designed to make an insurance sale. It is not a financial plan

: Their "own your own Business" line is a lie. You as a rep don't own your clients or your sales team, the company does.

: I could go on. If you want to see how you can be a true financial professional and really own your business, e mail me at cullen@summitteam.org.

***** My point was if you look at the history and the numbers, something doesn't seem right...Some people are making a huge amount of money, and some arn't. The buy term and invest the difference theme is a good one for the consumer. The ownership and compensation for the agent is something else to consider.
I say look at every product against what the compensation is to be had outside the company. Look at the contract as far as ownership. As a kicker, compare at www.term4sale.com
Knowledge is power....
