: My husband and I are finishing our walk out basement ourselves and would like to know if we need to have permits and inspections to have it covered under our homeowners insurance policy. We contacted our agent and the secretrary said we did not. I would like to make sure this is correct before we contunue with our work. Do you know any of the legalities on this matter?
