: : HELLO,

: : I SEE ITS A GOOD PLACE TO START. MY WIFE JUST GOT HIRED ON SHE JUST STARTED I AM THINKING OF TRYING IT TOO. BUT I AM ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. PLEASE IF U CAN GIVE ME A INFO U CAN THAT CAN BE HELPFUL TAHNX ADRIAN
: Life commissions start at 25% of the 1st year premium at the PFA level & increases up to 95% at the RVP level. Securities commissions start somewhere below 25% of GDC and go up to 57% at the RVP level (which is actually low compared to what other BD's pay...as an example, when I left PFS, I immediately was able to secure a 92% contract with another BD).
: The average RVP makes about $80,000 to 100,000 BEFORE office expenses & self employment taxes which will run about $15,000 to $25,000. So, RVP's probably net about $65,000 - $75,000. Keep in mind that it takes on average 4 to 7 years to become an RVP. It took me only 18 months, but I had many things working for me that many people don't have just getting started. For one, I easily came up with a list of 200+ people on my intitial warm market list. I also had a lot of credibility with people because of being a CPA and my financial background for the previous 12 years. And of course, I had the best leader in the business as my direct upline, Mike Tuttle who I worked with on a daily basis the whole time I was trying to make RVP.
: Hope that helps you. Let me know what other questions you may have.
