: I have a very small medical practice with only one employee a combination receptionist/office assistant. She plans to fly to Great Britain and visit her family Sept. 14 - 19, 2003. I would like and insurance policy to cover loss of income and office overhead while I train a new assistant should she die accidentally. Is such insurance available? I belong to AAA but no help on their web site. I also have an American Express card.

*****Dr. Simmons you concern seems longer than just a concern for flight time. Death can happen anytime and anywhere. You may want to talk to an agent about some coverage for a longer period. If she is that important to your practice, you may want to look at the cost of replacing her and how long you may need coverage. Consult your CPA on the business cost issues and who should own the policy.
Also you can go to www.google and type in keyman insurance, or business life insurance, you'll get a wealth of information.
