I have United Healthcare Coverage under the AARP Group Plan, and I have no compalint about it. I do have problem with the AARP Pharmacy which United Healthcare operates.
There is no contact point for customer feedback at United Heathcare. I think this is a great disservice and at least a symptom of poor management.
The problem with the AARP Pharmacy is that maintenance of the prescription database is very poor. For example, expired prescriptions are not flagged when the last prescription is filled so that one gets reminders to re-fill on the old prescription even though a new prescription has been sent. If you have several prescriptions in the system, this can become very confusing.
Another problem is the system sometimes mishandles Prescription details. For example, it will sometimes send only 90 pills for a 90-day prescription which require two doses of the pill per day.
Still another problem is that United Healthcare does not seem to acknowledge that it needs to follow-up on these issues.
