Yes Patrick, your daughter must have power of attorney to act on your behalf. It is no different with any insurance company. No one will let her act on your behalf for any legal or financial matters without one. Everyone should have a power of attorney appointed while they are competent to make their own decisions, after that one can be appointed for you without a court order and that would be very expensive : I was told I need a power of attorney form so that my daughter can handle my affairs with my insurance carrier
