: The term products are way over priced. The advancement and commission structure is weak and unfair particularly at upper levles. And the opportunity that once exsisted in the early days with A.L. Williams have been choked by Primerica.
: Go to my web site and see what was born from frustration with Primerica. At the top of the intro. page there is a button to compare the HBW program with Primerica. Do your due dilligence and really look through the whole site. After you do look at the COMPARE feature, backup and click the enter button at the bottom of the intro. page.
Since John clearly supports individuals doing their "due diligence" before choosing any company, I'd like to suggest a different route. Now I'm not going to turn this into an anti-HBW post, because I have no personal knowledge of the company; however, for some of you out there, there might be a better route.
There are many very well known companies that will give you a higher commission and/or annualization rates if you work with them directly as a managing general agent. Of course, the biggest drawback there is that you are going to be completely on your own. If you don't like having to take care of every little detail (such as some people don't like to push paper, while others would rather give up some commissions to work for a company that provides quality leads), then the other route might be to find a small- to mid-sized MGA to work for. Trust me, there are plenty of them out there.
The choice is yours... but please do your due diligence. Just for the record, I used to work for an MLM until I learned about the benefits of becoming a MGA and thus started my own with some partners. So, I might be a little bias! = )
