What are you made of? Are you driven, motivated, goal oriented, competitive, a team player, a leader, positive? Do you understand that owning & running your own business REQUIRES YOU to be driven, motivated, goal oriented, competitive, a team player, a team leader? If you can HONESTLY answer yes to both questions YOU WILL be successful w/AFLAC. For that matter, any business/career you pursue. The fact is, successful people don't let anything get in their way. I'm amazed at the NeverAgains in this business. I have no formal sales background or training. I didn't finish college. Before AFLAC I was a GM for a construction company. I'm an average looking female who gets off her butt everyday & works this business of AFLAC & thus far, I'd say I'm doing pretty damn good. I'm into my second year with AFLAC & I'll be earning atleast 70K. I pulled around 50K my first. Tell me what 9to5 is going to give you a 20K raise your first year? I had a decent DSC & I've held him accountable. I made it very clear that HE was on probation, & I could & would sign with another DSC if I ever found out he was dishonest or cheated me. I laid it out on the table & we've had a successful business relationship. He needs me more than I need him & I produce, plain & simple. I also took the initiative & studied every sales book, tape & manual I could get my hands on. I study & refine my skills everyday. And I'm winning. This business is a game & if you're not in it to win you won't. So in closing, ask yourself "What am I made of?" Good luck to you!
