Deon That is why you should always shop around and not take your auto insurance carrier for granted. They might have been a fine selection for your risk class and area 20 years ago, now they may be just uncompetitive in those areas. Agent : After 20 years of doing business with Farmers Insurance (home owners and 3 vehicles) I am finished dealing with this company for good. The bills are always mailed out ten days after the due date, the rate ALWAYS increases without ANY explanation. The agents can not answer simple questions because they don't know anything and their computers are ALWAYS down when you call them. I shopped around and was able to increased my coverage AND save over $2,500.00 a year. Why would Farmers Insurance over charge a customer $2,500.00 per year? I asked my agent and he did'nt know because the computers were down again. I reminded my agent who he worked for, and then I told him he was fired.
