Thank God as of yet I have not had to file a claim with Farmers ,but I have had a few other problems with them that really makes me mad.
When I took out my insurance my agent told me that I had to list all the drivers in my house hole and I did.Two years later my daughter moved out so I took her off my insurance. The very next year my mother turned 68 in Dec and in Jan Farmers cancel my insurance .When I called my agent and ask why I was told that it was because my daughter was 21 and she should be able to pay her own car insurance. When I told my agent that my daughter was not on my insurance she could tell me nothing more but I will have to call them .My agent called Farmers and told them that my daughter was not on my insurance and had not been on it in over a year ,that is when they started in on my 68 year old mother.
Well needless to say I had to go to my agents office and drop once again on paper my daughter and my mother ,but they did say that if my daughter was a full time student that I could keep her on there if I got a letter from the collage.Well my daughter is a full time student and has been for over 4 years now ,but since she does not live with me and does not drive any of my cars I don't see the point of getting a letter ,cause she was not on my insurance any longer anyways. This all happen Jan.03
Now then just the other day I got a letter saying that I need once again to drop my daughter ,show proof that she has other insurance(well the problem with that is she don't have a car.I also had to write a letter stating that no one in my house hole drivers any of my cars, but I was told by my agent that as long as no one has access to my cars all the time ,as long as I say they can drive them they can.
The other problem I have is that I wrote to Farmers asking them to change my agent. It says in your auto insurance paper work that you can do this.I have wrote to them twice and I have not heard anything from them and I still have the same rude agents.
I also don't like the fact that if you go to buy a car you can not get a quote. The Agent charges you a fee to add a auto them Farmers does as well.Last but not least ,you can NOT call Farmers yourself you have to call your agent that 9 times out of 10 don't know crap.
