: : I am currently in the process of replacing my term life insurance with another carier because the rate is better. My most recent quarterly preimium was due sep. 17. I realize I have a 30 day grace period to pay that premium and still keep my current policy in force. If I pay my quarterly premium with my current insurer(primerica) can I expect to be given a refund of some of theat amount if it is not all used?
: : Thank you.

Ms Wood,
Thank you for your response. I called the number and spoke with a representative. She was very polite and professional( a couple concepts that are lacking in many places these days)and explained the best course of action for me--make
a monthly payment that will take my coverage to a point where the new policy should be in place.

Mr. Cody,
I said I was replacing a TERM policy, not whole life. Plese re-read my post. I will be saving money with my new policy, but nothing like the 60% you suggest(I wish). But, you should know that nobody tried to change my mind or sell me more insurance or change anything. I told the rep what I wanted to do and she gave me a straight answer to my question--not what i would expect to experience according to you.

: All life insurance premiums are due annually in advance. A monthly, quarterly, and a semi-annual payment is a courtesy extended to you by the company with an extra small payment attached to the premium for not paying the premium in advance for the year.

: Since you said that you were replacing the policy with a less expensive policy you will not receive a refund but you will have life insurance coverage with the Primerica policy until thirty-days after the end of the policies grace period.

: If you had owned a Primerica issued whole life policy still presently in force with the company, because you would have paid a quarterly premium in advance, then the cash values accumulated in the policy upon cash surrender would have been pro-rated to reflect your quarterly payment which would have been kind of an idirect way you would have received a portion of your advanced quarterly premium payment back.

: Isn't it amazing when consumers aren't caught up in the hype of the Primerica agent's sales presentation when they take the time to shop and compare the same type of policy the Primerica agent had suggested to them they discover that the same term policy with most other insurance companies are as much as 60% less in premium charges than what Primerica charges?

: When you telephone the lady Regena who is an employee of Primerica remember she can not change the premium that Primerica charged you for your term life insurance regardless of how hard she tries to convince you to keep it.

: She may be able to change the policy to a different type of Primerica Term Life Policy, but then you should go back to the agent who sold you the replacement term policy and match the premium the agent's company will charge you for that same type of term policy with his company she has proposed to you if that is what happens when you speak with her.

: What that is know as is, "fair competition in the market place" comparing exact life insurance products to each other. :)

: ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
