: I first opened my USAA Auto policy under my father when I was 15 years old. Now, ten years later with a family of my own, I am still happy with their coverage. Of course there has been some mistakes and bungling, but that happens with insurance companies all the time. I know people insured by other companies that come in complaining just about every day. I've been in three wrecks (two my fault) and my wife has been in one (her fault). Obviously my rates went up, but I kept my policy and they went back down. I always recieved fair and cordial treatment, and I recieved money promptly even when it was my fault. The amount I was given was fair based upon KBB and NADA guides, and I had no problem getting a rental car. These horror stories I am reading seem to have common elements
