Eric is right on. I have been with Primerica for five months now and all I have done is SPEND money. In my office, they preach recruiting. I recruited 5 people in the first month and havn't made a dime. The shirts and pens are nice but they don't pay bills! I try daily to get my recruiter and RVP to help my team start doing the business but they never have any business for us. But, they do push Primerica products on you and your family & friends. All my office wants is your "Top 50" list of names they can contact. I think the emphasis on recruiting is solely intended to gain your warm market for them to sell to. Don't get me wrong, I think there is potential with PFS but success is RARE. If you do want to join, keep your investment minimal. Most will loose. My RVP admits that only 20% of all recruits will make it. I think 20% is still high. I would estimate about 8 to 10% actually make it. It is tough to find good leads. My recruiter and my Division leader told me that they would provide business to get me started. I'm still waiting! I spent about $200.00 on training materials that I'm trying to sell to my District leader. I bought suits and took time off work all at great expense. My advice is to find an office with people who will spend time with you and not just blow off at the mouth. Ask questions before you hand over the $199.00 IBA fee. Don't let excitement cloud your best judgement. That is the mistake I made! I new better after paying a company called ADVICE, Inc. $500.00 a couple of years ago to get hired on to a dealership to sell cars. What a JOKE! Stay vigilant. There are many companies out for your money and not yur best interest!! Good luck..
