Eric,
I don't know what idiot spouted that line to you. That has never been HBW's philosophy. The company believes in term insurance but we do not preach that it is the right thing 100% of the time.
You know why I know this? Because at our last training session, (yes, training, not a "rah-rah" session), in Vegas in August we had vendors there giving us product/sales training on different permanent products.
I have told Todd before that HBW is simply an Agency that allows you to recruit if you want. Our promotions are based on production numbers, not recruits!! Todd is hell-bent on bashing anything that remotely resembles MLM. Insurance general agencies are a form of MLM. In fact, I do business with another general agency that told me I could bring in another agent at a lower contract and get an override. The name of this agency if called Financial Brokerage and you can check them out at www.fb-inc.com. You will see that they are just a normal agency like everyone else.
I think every company sometimes hires people that are a little over-zealous and they end up talking out of their asses. You want the straight scoop, ask me. And no, I don't want to recruit you. I only recruit people that are producers and want to build a client base.
: Todd-
: You have reasons to be concerned.
: I've had conversations with HBW - same old same old.
: What I found very interesting is that they profess to believe in the "Buy Term Invest the Difference concept 100% of the time", as was told to me by their recruiter(the right way to think, I might add) - but, they market cash value products!
:
: As Mr. Rogers would say,
: "Can you say, hypocritical? I thought you could."
: People I know who went with them fell flat on their faces.
: Be careful - it's just another mlm looking to rape your market.
