Way to go Todd. Couldn't have said it better. Anyone who's looking for a stable, producing career, look to establised honest to gosh agencies that hire selectively and support their people.
: Eric,
: Thanks for confirming my thoughts.
: For all you people out there considering entering the personal financial planning industry for the first-time, consider ALL your options before going with an MLM.
: For those of you who, as you mentioned Eric, whom have tried the MLM, but were unsuccessful because of the over-emphasis on recruiting, I say try your luck with a real organization that cares more about how many clients you're infront of rather than how many warm bodies have you recruited this month. Hell...for those of you in this category that are proven closers and/or have at least some experience under your belt, if you're looking for something better out there (and in So. California), my firm will be picking-up no more than three new agents over the next three months. But please don't come to me looking to build "your own business" or anything like that--I don't want anyone stuck in the MLM mind-set. I originally came from one, so I know exactly the type of person that I want to stay away from!!
: Good luck to you all!
: : Todd-
: : You have reasons to be concerned.
: : I've had conversations with HBW - same old same old.
: : What I found very interesting is that they profess to believe in the "Buy Term Invest the Difference concept 100% of the time", as was told to me by their recruiter(the right way to think, I might add) - but, they market cash value products!
: :
: : As Mr. Rogers would say,
: : "Can you say, hypocritical? I thought you could."
: : People I know who went with them fell flat on their faces.
: : Be careful - it's just another mlm looking to rape your market.
