My nephew died 4mths ago from accidently overdose of over the counter cold and flu medication. My neice in law came home from work and found him dead in bed. Seems he had taken of what we do know, six doses of Thura Flu and six Aleve Cold tabs in about 32 hrs. He had purchased a Term Life Insurance policy about a year before this happen.

His wife has not filed a claim yet. We asked her why and she said, because the insurance would not pay for his death because he took the medication himself. We have told her yes it will because he did not mean to end his life, he just made a mistake over medicating himself. The doctor said he died of a accidentle overdose.

Can she file a claim?
