Back before World War II, most life policies die have war exclusions.
During World War II, insurance companines found they could pay claims and still remain profitable. Therefore, they did not enforce the war clauses they had in their contracts, which was a public relations boon in the post war years.
Today, no new policies have such exclusions (except accidental death and dismemberment contracts, et al.). Whoever wrote this is just plain ignorant.
