Pathetic? I'm not so sure. When you are a representative of a company or an employee you are suppose to hold a certain amount of servitude to that company. Too corporate? Well Before representing the Primerica sales force I was a Sales Merchandiser for Coca-Cola Enterprise. Eight months onto the job two co-workers were let-go for drinking a Pepsi on the clock. It's there right to drink Pepsi I thought to my self, honestly I drank a Dr. Pepper now-and-again as well. But let's put this into another perspective. The reason they were fired is because a customer was in plain view of the Coca-Cola man chugging a Pepsi. That is advertisement. That is being a hypocrite. How can you sell a product you don't believe in? How can you sit across the table from a client, tell them they need life insurance, and not carry any insurance for your self, or have life insurance with another company, or worse actually have a cash value policy. As far as a felon working for Primerica, I don't know how much of it I believe or what is actually going on. The only way I could see it happening is if the wife were the one turning in the apps as her own. My brother is in prison right now and I am a strong believer of second chances. When he gets out I know he is going to do something great with his life. Now, here in Indiana I had to pass both a Federal and State background to get my license, so I don't understand...if he was truly convicted how could he get a license, and how could he become a Rep much less an RVP? I don't think you can slam Primerica for that either. How are they suppose to know if her husband writes up apps and she turns them in if no one in the baseshop has the backbone to make a phone call to compliance or a corporate office? It's not a breach of contract...YOUR NOT OBLIGATED TO GET PROMOTED and it's not solid morals if YOU TURNED YOUR BACK ON ILLEAGAL ACTIVITY in order to save face.
