- Lead company-wide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning across revenue, deposits, unit economics, headcount, and cash runway, helping leadership make smart tradeoffs using clear data and assumptions.
- Implement and refine accounting policies and internal controls that balance speed, security, and compliance
- Coordinate federal, state, and local tax filings with external partners; manage state registrations and business licenses; and support any audits or regulatory reviews
- Lead company-wide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning across revenue, AUM, unit economics, headcount, and cash runway, helping leadership make smart tradeoffs using clear data and assumptions.
- Run day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, expense management and payroll
- Own the general ledger and month-end close, ensuring timely, accurate financial statements
- Partner with the leadership team on pricing, margin optimization, investment decisions, and future equity or debt fundraising efforts, including materials and analysis
- As the company scales, evolve from hands-on ownership into building, mentoring, and leading the finance and accounting function.

- Comfort operating as a founding/first finance hire: you can both roll up your sleeves and operate at a strategic level
- Advanced proficiency with spreadsheets and modern finance tools; you enjoy building models, dashboards, tools, and clear, repeatable processes
- Excellent attention to detail and a systems mindset—you enjoy designing the system that keep funds secure without slowing the business down
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial topics simply to non-finance stakeholders
- Preference for candidates with experience at a financial services company, fintech, or a business that manages client funds, trust accounts, and/or custodial balances
